How long is a typical Red Sea safari trip?

Most of our liveaboard safaris last 7 nights / 8 days, allowing ample time to explore remote islands, lagoons, and reefs. Shorter or longer itineraries can be arranged for private charters upon request.

Can beginners join a kite or dive safari?

Yes. Beginners are welcome on many charter trips, as professional instructors for both kitesurfing and diving are usually onboard or can be arranged in advance.

Is the trip suitable for non-kiters or non-divers?
Arrow

Yes. Non-kiting or non-diving guests are welcome to relax onboard, swim, snorkel, island-hop, or enjoy the Red Sea scenery. Liveaboard safaris are ideal for couples and mixed-experience groups.

Can we plan a specific route in advance?

We plan the route to get the most out of the trip based on current and latest forecast weather conditions. This route may change depending on changes in the weather. If there is anywhere you specifically would like us to visit - please let us know when booking and we will do everything we can to make this possible.

Vegeterian, vegan, and other dietary requirements

Please let us know at least 2 weeks in advance of any specific requirements you have and our chef can plan ahead to create a delicious menu to meet your needs.

Is alcohol available on board?

Alcoholic beverages are usually available on board or can be arranged in advance, depending on the charter. Guests are also welcome to bring their own alcohol. Please check with us prior to departure for specific arrangements.

Drinking water and beverages

Filtered drinking water, tea, coffee, and soft drinks are provided throughout the trip. We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle to reduce plastic waste.

Cabin sharing and private cabins

Cabins are typically shared on group safaris. Private cabins may be available upon request and at an additional cost, subject to availability.

Is Wi-Fi available on board?

Wi-Fi is available on board; however, coverage in the Red Sea can be limited and unreliable in remote areas. Connection quality depends on location and weather, and there may be times with little or no signal while cruising further offshore.

passport and visa requirements
Arrow

Guests must have their passports with them on the boat. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after departure date from Egypt or you will not be allowed to enter the country. A tourist entry visa is also required to be allowed into Egypt. A tourist Visa costs 25 USD and can be bought at the airport upon arrival (if it is not already included in the price of your flight ticket). It will make the process smoother if you have the 25USD in exact change on arrival. EU citizens do not need apply for a Visa in advance.

What about safety and medical care?

For serious medical situations, evacuation procedures are in place.

Seasickness and comfort

If you are prone to seasickness, we recommend bringing appropriate medication. Our crew will always plan routes and anchorages to ensure maximum comfort whenever possible.

Are there any special rules to follow while living on board?

To ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for everyone, we ask all guests to follow a few simple onboard guidelines. Most of these are common sense and are in place to promote safety, mutual respect, and a relaxed atmosphere throughout the trip.The captain is ultimately responsible for the vessel, and their decisions must always be respected. In general, we kindly ask that guests:Be considerate of others and help maintain a positive onboard environment.

- Follow all instructions and guidance from the captain and crew
- Consume alcohol responsibly and with respect for fellow guests
- Smoke only in designated areas

These guidelines help ensure that everyone enjoys a smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free safari experience.

What should I pack for a liveaboard safari?

Below is a recommended packing list to help you stay comfortable and prepared during your liveaboard trip:

Essentials:

- Swimwear
- Lycra or rash guard
- UV sunblock (water-resistant, reef-safe recommended)
- Sunglasses
- Light hoodie or sweater (light for summer evenings, warmer layers for winter)
- Offline music playlist (Bluetooth connection available for onboard speakers)
- Personal medication
- Duty-free wine or spirits if you have preferred brands
- Cash (for marine park fees, crew service, onboard alcohol, and additional services)
- Good vibes ✨

For kitesurfing:
- At least two kite sizes (a third size is recommended, as wind conditions can vary)
- At least one kiteboard (Twin-tip recommended; surfboard or hydrofoil are also suitable options)
- Wetsuit (Shorty in summer, 5/4 mm steamer in winter)

Please note: guests are responsible for bringing any personal medication. Only basic emergency medicine is available onboard.

When is the best time to visit the Red Sea?

The Red Sea offers excellent conditions year-round for both diving and kitesurfing, with seasonal variations depending on your interests.Diving is possible throughout the year, although water temperatures vary by season. The whale shark season typically runs from late May to the end of June. Summer months are ideal for spotting a wide variety of marine life, as warmer waters and plankton attract manta rays, and sea turtles are often seen nesting during this period. Winter months usually provide excellent water visibility, making them especially popular for reef and wreck diving.For kitesurfing, the best wind season runs from March through the end of October, offering consistent winds and ideal riding conditions across the Red Sea.
